This is a book that is set in the near future in our universe, but after a serious dissolution and reformation of the government. The main character, Connor, is the son of the Peer Guide of Britain. The novel follows his life in the new world that he was born in. He is highly intelligent, well-educated (as are most of the denizens of this new world) and has an enthusiasm for technology. Nowadays, we would call him a child prodigy, but in his time he is considered "clever" - only a couple of notches above the others. The novel is designed to be a utopian novel with a dash of action, romance and, with any luck, intellectual stimulation. This is planned to be the first in a trilogy.
